Roberto Crepaldi began working with John Britten, the talented 40-year-old New Zealand-based designer, who amongst other things, designed and built an extraordinary racing bike in his “garden shed”, the Britten V1000.
CR&S supplied technical and logistical support to the Britten Team when participating in European events (Monza, Mettet, TT, Assen).
Their base was the unused large hangars belonging to friend Sandro Faravelli at Cusano Milanino. Faravelli was to become the Team’s sports director. To transport the bikes and staff, a motorhome was bought, ironically nicknamed “Black beauty” by John because of its colour.
