The Paton team comprising engineer Zelioli, technician Realini, frame-maker Colombo and the owner, Roberto Pattoni, produced the first prototype in their workshop in Settimo, in the Milanese hinterland.
Thousands of hours were dedicated to the study, design and production of single parts, involving a maximum effort from everyone concerned for more than two years.
The engine selected, the BMW/Rotax F650 was the only one on the market to include all the special characteristics required by CR&S: that of a European, modern, road-based, reliable single-cylinder engine. |
