- The tests in the most varied conditions of use were completed during the year, using the pre-production models.

- Trials were organised for the press, for customers and for enthusiasts throughout spring and up to the beginning of summer.

- The European type approval tests, in compliance with the “Euro 3” standards, were completed with positive results within summer: these are currently the most demanding standards in terms of emissions and noise and will come into force from 2007.

- The first two CR&S VUN “racing” version prototypes were presented in July: these two motorcycles, were equipped like an evolution of the road version, and successfully took part in the Ducati Speed Week organised on the new Pannonia-Ring track in Hungary.

- September marked the start of production: the first models were delivered to Italy, the United States and Germany.

- Seven CR&S VUN models were on display in November at the EICMA (International Motorcycle Show) event held in Milan, each model was different, to demonstrate the project's tangible total modular concept.
