The CR&S Britten was completely rebuilt in New Zealand.
First to ride it was Andrew Stroud who immediately won at Daytona.
He ended second in the BEARS World Series, coming after the Britten “factory” ridden by Dario Marchetti and Stephen Briggs.
A few days after the end of the championship, John Britten died at Christchurch of an illness, leaving his family, friends and the world of biking with an enormous gap in their lives. To honour John, the CR&S Britten took part in and won the ‘95/’96 New Zealand superbikes championship with Andrew Stroud. |
